Mutton Chukka Recipe – Mutton chukka is a total deliciousness of lamb slow cooked in a rich flavorful masala. Base masala has onions, nuts, aromatic Indian spices, all together makes the mutton chukka blast a fragrance into the dining hall next door 🙂 Your guests, especially if they are non veg lovers or mutton lovers like me, will never want to wait for that friendly chat you are so much interested in 😉 This mutton chukka is an inspiration from the famous Maharashtrian dish – Sukka Mutton. Shared by a Jaspreet ji in a foodie group, the recipe immediately went into my pocket diary. I never miss any non veg recipe from such an excellent cook 🙂

#FoodForSoul – How can I go on without discussing something personal, family, happy gossips 🙂 Read on.. I have something interesting to share..

New kitchen counter capturing fresh sun rays sneaking inside home smile emoticon Someone is feeling honored as if he has built Taj Mahal for his l(i)oving wife 😉

My very own mini studio now, a dream that I asked daddy God in my prayers days ago. And today as I laid my hands on the counter, God whispered into my ears “I will never leave you in the place where you are. I give desires of your heart”. What prayer do you keep on praying that seems to never reach God’s ears? Don worry. If it is a “No” today, it is definitely a better “Yes” tomorrow 🙂

Step 9 – Add red chilly powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and then saute for a minute.

Step 10 – Add the cooked mutton along with its stock. Mix the curry. Adjust salt. Let the curry cook on low heat until the gravy is reduced to your desired consistency.

Switch off stove. Add a dollop of ghee and serve with parathas or rice 🙂 A close up shot for you here to drool 😀

The gravy is little spicy. So you can adjust chilli powder based on the your tolerance level.
The curry becomes more delicious as it slow cooks and thickens. So, never compromise on that.

KFC Fried Chicken Recipe

KFC-Fried-Chicken-Recipe |

KFC Fried Chicken Recipe with Step by Step pictures – Making KFC Fried Chicken at home has been the top in my bucket list last year. After six attempts, I have fine tuned a recipe which gives a taste similar to what I gobble guiltlessly in KFC 😀 And this KFC Fried chicken was my contribution for a potluck at office and it was an instant hit. Happy to share the recipe with my readers 🙂 There is an unusual ingredient in the crunchy covering of the chicken, no doubt it makes you feel So Goood, Fingerlicking .. 🙂 Before you close this page, do check out my  KFC Popcorn Chicken recipe too.

KFC-Fried-Chicken-Recipe |

Part I – Marinate Chicken & Pre-cook

Marinate your chicken with all the marinade ingredients for atleast 8 hours in the refridgerator.

KFC-Fried-Chicken-Recipe |

After 8 hours, thaw the chicken. Once they come to room temperature, pressure cook them without water in a slow flame for 7-8 minutes. This pre-cooking avoids any rawness of meat at the end of frying. Lots of water will ooze out of the chicken. Reserve it to add to part II – Batter.

KFC-Fried-Chicken-Recipe |

Part – II – Batter Dipping

Mix all the ingredients here, beat in the egg, add milk slowly and slowly whisk it until you get a smooth batter.

KFC-Fried-Chicken-Recipe |

Add the reserved chicken juice from Part I to the batter and mix well. Now, this batter will serve as first coating for the chicken.

KFC-Fried-Chicken-Recipe |

 Part-III- Crunchy Coat

Take lays, cornflakes and oats in a blender.

KFC-Fried-Chicken-Recipe |

Blend it to perform a coarse mix. Please make sure it is a coarse mixture. Add the remaining ingredients i.e garlic powder, chilly powder, salt a pinch and mix well. This mixture gives a totally yummy crunchy coating.

Part-IV- Frying

Dip the pre-cooked chicken in the batter from part-II

KFC Fried Chicken Recipe 7

Roll the battered  chicken leg in the crunchy coat mixture from part-III

KFC-Fried-Chicken-Recipe |

Heat a thick bottomed pan with enough oil to fry and deep fry them. They get ready in 5 minutes. Remove them from oil and drain on a tissue.

Murungai-poo-payasam or Drumstick-Flowers Kheer | FoodieAdamCookieEve

Murungai Poo Pal payasam or Drumstick flowers kheer Recipe – Murungai Poo payasam is a healthy bowl of deliciousness. To me, Murungai or drumstick, scientific name : Moringa Oleifera is the most impressive flora on the earth. A generous flora which gives its leaves, flowers, bark etc to help humans medicinally. Drumstick leaves, flowers and sticks have been part of our regular cooking since childhood and the flowers are my most favorite. The flowers are really tasty and they can be fried or added to salads. I love to have them in a kheer. Drumstick flowers kheer recipe that I am sharing here is a mild kheer with crunchy flowers, with a tinge of ghee aroma. 😀

Please do have a look at the enormous benefits of the moringa flowers – They are rich in vitamins, boosts immune system, helps healthy egg and sperm formation, increases sperm count and motility. They are rich in iron, potassium as well. Drumstick flowers kheer taken daily boosts fertility, says the doctors.

Wet tissues, clinking coin purse, an age old coolers, a rustic diary..How did I miss that green bottle ?! My hand bag would not step off home with that green water bottle empty. .An empty bottle keeps me worried all through my journey.. I can never stand a thirst.. I am always skeptical about the tap water or used cups in the mall.. So, I keep my bottle filled and keep my worries off.. And why did I write this? 😉
When your mind is full of God, you will never want to worry for the hiccups in your journey.. When your mind is not of God, worries sneak in, dance and sleep. Never miss to fill that green bottle 🙂

Dewberry’s Candle Light Dinner ~ Review

I love a good romance any day 😉  Awarding a day/place/setup to celebrate ‘Love’ which is the best of all emotions, was never in his mind.. But then I realized, a candle light dinner does little wonders in him 😉

Dewberry’s had invited us to review their candle light dinner on Valentines day. We reached the spot, very late evening. Few starters that I relished in my previous visit to Dewberry left a lingering aftertaste, and Yeah, I was all eyes upon the ambience and set up this time. As we were welcomed warmly, “Of course! valentines day or a candle dinner is all about the ambience & set up” said Kavitha Ajay who owns Dewberry.

Cold night, balloons, flowers, lights, melodies surrounding us, and on top of it amazing food served with a pleasant face made our day ! They greeted us with a warm welcome . Wooden planked chairs & table, creepers and climbers wrapping the poles behind, small fountain body at the front, soft lights on the pathway making the greenery shine, red heart balloons on the sky.. Oh yes! you will surely love this place..

CD (2 of 1)

Turn anywhere, you see a heart 🙂 On the table was a Led candle tucked in a tracing paper bag with hearts punched, good enough to  veil all those negatives and unveil that fresh love in you ? 😉 I would have loved having some scented flowers on the table, but I was told that they arrange it for you on request with a cost involved. We ordered few favorites from my last visit – malai broccoli, nut stuffed paneer tikka, prawns, mushroom pasta, elaneer payasam and few more. Starters & Welcome drinks were fantastic as usual. Mushroom pasta was normal and had nothing much to rave about. The Fish steak meal was good. The chocolate sauce and biscuit crumble dessert is a total win win and quite filling. More review about food here. Two beetroot hearts were sitting on every plate to bring a smile in us 🙂

Very courteous staff, kind enough to help you out with choosing dishes. Oh I forgot to mention, they have a limited menu for a candle dinner, however it includes all their top fame dishes. Staffs visit you upon your request. Someone said rightly that, I ought to be pampered more by my valentine than the rest in a candle dinner. However, there is someone always at a distance your eyes can reach, ready to attend you or take a snap when you do not want a selfie. The place is well maintained and Hubby spotted on those all-outs plugged at the bottom of each table, which reminded me about the mention of mosquitoes in a review I read about Dewberrys in the past. Good to see the prompt care taken.

One beautiful thing that I took back home along with lushy green memories, is the fresh Strawberry Bouquet. Red Strawberry’s dipped in chocolates, wrapped with green parsley into a bouquet was a romantic punch at the end. Believe me, it was sooo yummy :)You will definitely want to buy it again 🙂

Overall, this outdoor candle light meal is perfect for a romantic evening except for times, the pavement becoming busy with ppl going in and out. No extra charges for the candle light dinner is something attractive. Enjoying a lovable date without spending a bag of bucks on the ambiance, set up, candle light, Popeye would definitely slip in that ring into his Olive’s finger HAPPPPILY . Agreed? 😉

I have been sinning in the past.. Yes I was malfunctioning, not doing the purpose of my original design. God was so loving me. He was not at all angry upon me. I am HIS favorite. His love for me was constant. His heart for me is to get me back to my original design..
